DRISTI volunteers provide legal aid to rural community in East Mesra

Ranchi, February 10: In a significant step towards strengthening access to justice at the grassroots level, DRISTI Volunteers, in collaboration with Nyaya Shastra, recently organised a Pro Bono Legal Aid and Legal Awareness Programme (NYAYDISHA) at Rajyakiya Krit Prathmik Vidyalaya, Pancholi, East Mesra.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of DRISTI Co-founder Shubhanshu Shekhar Shukla and led by Chapter Lead Aditya Sunar, to empower underserved rural communities by spreading awareness about fundamental legal rights and offering free legal assistance.

NYAYDISHA Initiative Bridges Legal Gap in Rural Areas

Guided by the core principles of DISHA (Direction), DAKSHA (Competence), and DIKSHA (Education and Awareness), the initiative focused on bridging the gap between the legal system and rural citizens. DRISTI volunteers interacted closely with villagers, explaining essential legal provisions in a simple, accessible language.

Along with awareness sessions, the team provided basic pro bono legal guidance, ensuring that beneficiaries received legal support without any financial burden.
