Jaishankar stated that India has assured assistance to Bangladesh’s former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and has given her time to determine future strategies.

The sudden resignation of Prime Minister Hasina and her departure from the country amid violent anti-reservation protests in Bangladesh has led to a chaotic situation. Hasina arrived in India on Monday evening aboard a Bangladesh Air Force C-130J military aircraft. It is reported that she plans to travel to London.
