New Delhi, May 5: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested former Haryana Congress MLA Dharam Singh Chhoker. According to reports, he was taken into custody on Sunday from a hotel in Delhi.

Chhoker had reportedly been absconding for a long time. The ED arrested him in connection with a money laundering case.

He is accused in an alleged scam worth around ₹1,500 crore. He will be produced before a court in Gurugram today, Monday.

Chhoker had earlier served as an MLA from the Samalkha constituency in Panipat district. In last year’s Assembly elections, the Congress fielded him again from the same seat, but he lost the election.
