New Delhi, August 13: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday began questioning former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina in New Delhi as part of an ongoing money laundering investigation linked to the betting platform 1xBet, sources said.
Raina, 38, is having his statement recorded under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) over his alleged association with the app through certain promotional activities.

The case is part of a broader ED probe into illegal betting platforms accused of duping investors of crores of rupees and evading substantial taxes.

Officials said the questioning is aimed at establishing the nature and extent of Raina’s links with the platform.
