Kolkata, Oct 11: In connection with a recruitment scam, the Enforcement Directorate is conducting raids at rice mills in the West Bengali district of Nadia.

Raids are currently taking place at ESSSGE Rice Mill and GK Agro Food Production, a rice mill and a flour mill situated next to Babla Kanda Khola on the Shantipur Bypass Road.

On Sunday, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted searches at the homes of two Trinamool Congress (TMC) leaders, Firhad Hakim and Madan Mitra, as part of an investigation into an alleged scam related to civil municipal bodies recruitment.

Mitra is an MLA from Kamarhati, whilst Hakim is the West Bengal’s Minister of Urban Development and the Mayor of Kolkata.
