Soni directed Das to deliver money to Baghel

As per the statement provided to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) by Asim Das, he revealed that Subham Soni, a key figure in Mahadev Online Book, directed him to deliver a considerable sum of cash to Bhupesh Baghel who was the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh at the time.

According to the chargesheet, Das was summoned to Dubai by Soni on October 25, 2023, and was handed a sum of money intended for delivery to Baghel. The allegations are further supported by a voicemail that was found on Das’s phone, in which Soni gives him instructions to give Baghel between 8 and 10 crore rupees when he returns to India.

As per statements from the Enforcement Directorate, the cash, reportedly being transported by Mahadev App promoters, was intended for a specific politician in Chhattisgarh. Das confessed that Subham Soni had given him the assignment to deliver the money to Bhupesh Baghel.

Conduit Bhim Singh Yadav

Email exchanges from Subham Soni and testimony from other witnesses, such as Chandrabhushan Verma, suggest that Bhim Singh Yadav served as a conduit for Mahadev Online Book when it came to the payment of “liaisoning money.”

Prior to this, Chandrabhushan Verma revealed in his statement recorded under section 50 of PMLA, 2002, that Bhim Singh Yadav was involved in the delivery of the “liaisoning money”.
