Ranchi, Oct 17: The police at the Bharakuttta OP in Giridih have arrested former Naxalite Rit Lal Yadav, who is accused of firing at his mother and brother. Under the leadership of SDPO Dhananjay Ram, Ritu Lal was apprehended near Garagoro with a country-made pistol and a live cartridge.

Following the arrest, SP Dr. Vimal Kumar shared details of the incident during a press conference on Thursday. However, Ritu Lal did not clarify the reason for the shooting. According to police sources, Rit Lal and his wife were reportedly under pressure from his mother and elder brother to leave their home.

The main reason for this pressure was said to be an attempt to evict Rit Lal from his property. When his mother and brother tried to force them out, Rit Lal reacted with anger and opened fire on them.

This incident not only highlights familial tensions but also underscores the seriousness of violent tendencies among former Naxalites. The police are now conducting a detailed investigation into the matter.
