Jamshedpur, Jan 22: A three-day Netra Jyoti Yagna is being organised in memory of late Sona Devi to restore vision and promote awareness about eye health.

The Sona Devi Memorial Educational Foundation Trust and Sona Devi University, Ghatshila, will jointly organise the free eye care camp.
Under the initiative, patients suffering from eye-related ailments will receive free medical consultations. Those requiring surgery will undergo cataract operations with intraocular lens implantation at no cost.

Specialist Doctors to Examine Patients
Renowned ophthalmologists Dr B. P. Singh, Dr Poonam Singh, Dr Bharti Sharma, Dr Vivek Kedia and Dr Anand Sushrut will examine patients on January 24.

Based on the medical evaluation, the required eye surgeries will be conducted on January 25, followed by post-operative care.
All patients who undergo treatment will be discharged on the afternoon of January 26, after completion of follow-up procedures.
The camp is being held at Ram Manohar Lohia Eye Hospital, Bagbera, Jamshedpur, with support from the Indian Red Cross Society, East Singhbhum.
