New Delhi, June 1: There has been a significant reshuffle in the list of the world’s billionaires. Once again, Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani has claimed the title of the richest person in Asia and India. Gautam Adani has surpassed Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, who had long held the top spot as Asia and India’s number one wealthy individual.

Adani is ranked 11 on the list of the world’s richest persons.

According to Bloomberg’s data, Gautam Adani’s net worth increased by $5.45 billion in 24 hours. Consequently, Adani’s wealth has risen to $111 billion. In recent days, the rise in the shares of Adani’s listed companies in the stock market has led to an increase in his wealth.

Mukesh Ambani 12th richest in the world

On the other hand, Mukesh Ambani has lost the title of the richest person in Asia and India. He has slipped to the 12th position in the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. However, Mukesh Ambani’s wealth increased by $76.2 million in 24 hours, bringing his net worth to $109 billion.

It is noteworthy that Gautam Adani is among the highest-earning billionaires in 2024. Since January 1, 2024, his wealth has increased by $26.8 billion. Meanwhile, Mukesh Ambani’s wealth has seen a rise of $12.7 billion in 2024 so far.

Bernard Arnault is the richest person in the world

According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, the dominance of French businessman and Chairman of the world’s largest luxury goods company LVMH Moët Hennessy, Bernard Arnault, remains intact. In the last 24 hours, Bernard Arnault’s wealth has increased by $433 million. With a net worth of $207 billion, Bernard Arnault is the richest person in the world.

The wealth of Twitter and Tesla CEO Elon Musk has decreased by $493 million in the past 24 hours. With a fortune of $207 billion, Elon Musk is the second richest person in the world.

Jeff Bezos holds the third position in the list of billionaires. However, Jeff Bezos’ wealth has decreased by $2.75 billion, leaving him with a net worth of $199 billion.
