PINAKI MAJUMDAR

Jamshedpur, Dec 5:  Several parts of Jharkhand especially southern and Central areas would witness light rain and cloudy conditions today due to the impact of the cyclonic storm Michaung.

Jamshedpur and its adjoining areas experienced light intermittent rain since last night.

Overcast conditions prevailed in several southern districts including the Kolhan region.

Cyclonic storm Muchaung

The cyclonic storm Muchaung over west-central and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal off south Andhra Pradesh and adjoining north Tamil Nadu coasts moved north-westwards.

It is likely to intensify gradually and move nearly northwards almost parallel and close to the south Andhra Pradesh coast and cross the South Andhra Pradesh coast between Nellore and Machilipatnam, close to Bapatla during the forenoon of  December 5 as a severe

cyclonic storm with a maximum sustained wind speed of 90-100 Kmph gusting to 110 Kmph.
