Hindi Diwas gets a creative twist at Loyola School Telco

Jamshedpur, September 14: Hindi took centre stage at Loyola School, Telco, as students celebrated Hindi Diwas with a vibrant cultural programme highlighting the richness of the Hindi language, the legacy of Hindi literature and India’s diverse cultural traditions.

The celebration opened with an innovative ‘Live News Channel’ format, giving the programme a contemporary and engaging touch. Students captivated the audience through thought-provoking quotes, poetry recitations, dance performances, a creative ramp walk featuring renowned Hindi litterateurs and a socially relevant skit.

Literary ramp walk brings Hindi writers alive

One of the major highlights was the literary-themed ramp walk, in which students creatively portrayed celebrated Hindi writers. Through their performances, they brought alive the personalities, literary contributions and enduring influence of the writers on Hindi literature.

The presentation offered an engaging combination of learning, creativity and entertainment, making the celebration both informative and enjoyable for the audience.

The skit was another notable feature of the programme. Blending humour with performance, it conveyed a meaningful social message and encouraged the audience to reflect on an issue of wider relevance.

Hindi celebrated as an expression of culture and identity

The programme was organised under the guidance and leadership of Principal Charanjeet Ohson.

The Hindi Department played a key role in coordinating the celebrations. Teachers Deepti Surin, Kanchan Tirkey, Lakshmi Dubey, Soni, Divya and Ranjita Minz contributed to the successful execution of the programme.

Principal Charanjeet Ohson, Fr Oscar Horo, Senior and Junior Vice-Principals, teachers and students attended the celebration.

The programme concluded with the message that Hindi is not merely a means of communication but a powerful expression of India’s culture, values, emotions and identity.

The celebration also underscored the school’s commitment to encouraging students to appreciate the richness of language and literature while developing a deeper understanding of India’s cultural heritage.
