Jamshedpur, Nov 21: Hyderabad Police arrested Rahul Rai, a resident of Block No. 4, Shastrinagar, Kadma, in connection with a cyber fraud case.
According to information received, Rahul was allegedly linked to an organized cybercrime network for several years and was responsible for arranging bank accounts used to deposit fraudulently obtained money. In return, he received a commission from the gang.
Recently, a suspicious transaction of Rs 15 lakh was detected in Rahul’s bank account, drawing the attention of Hyderabad Police. During the investigation, officials found strong evidence of Rahul’s involvement through his financial records and bank account details.

Acting on the information, a team of Hyderabad Police reached Jamshedpur, contacted the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), and with the help of Kadma police, conducted a raid at Rahul’s residence and arrested him.
Police sources revealed that Rahul Rai already has two previous cases registered against him. After completing the formalities, the Hyderabad Police produced him before the local court and obtained a transit remand.
Officials expect to gather crucial information about other members and the operational network of the cyber gang during interrogation.
Authorities stated that Rahul had been earning illegal money for a long time through cyber fraud activities. His bank accounts, mobile phones, and digital transactions are under detailed scrutiny.

Based on the leads obtained from Rahul, the police are preparing to tighten the noose around other gang members as well.
The case is currently being handled by Hyderabad police, who will take the investigation and further legal action forward.
