Ranchi, October 3: The Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) Ranchi has unveiled its coffee table book “Savoring Jharkhand: A Culinary Journey of Indigenous Flavours”, highlighting the state’s diverse and traditional food culture. Principal Bhupesh Kumar, along with Chef Rajneesh Singh and Praveen Raman, presented the book to Governor Santosh Gangwar during a courtesy meeting.
Celebrating indigenous flavours
Compiled and published by IHM Ranchi, the book brings together an array of tribal and traditional recipes, weaving them into the broader cultural, natural, and social fabric of Jharkhand. It aims to spotlight the state’s culinary identity and secure both national and international recognition for its food heritage.

Education and tourism focus
During the interaction, Kumar outlined the institute’s achievements in recent years, including 100 percent student placements and its contribution to the growth of tourism and the hospitality sector in the state. He reiterated IHM Ranchi’s commitment to delivering world-class hospitality education and skill development.
Governor’s appreciation
Governor Gangwar praised the initiative, describing the book as an artistic and detailed portrayal of Jharkhand’s cuisine, culture, and natural wealth. He noted that such efforts strengthen Jharkhand’s global identity while promoting its tourism potential.
With Savoring Jharkhand, IHM Ranchi has reinforced its role in preserving indigenous food traditions and positioning the state as a distinctive culinary destination.
