IMA forms 27-member Jharkhand JDN committee

 

Dhanbad, Oct 15: The Jharkhand Junior Doctors’ Network (JDN), the frontal organization of PG-passed doctors and Senior Residents in the state’s medical colleges, has announced its new 27-member state committee for the 2025–27 term. Dr Sushil Kumar and Dr Raghvendra Kumar were re-elected as chairman and secretary, respectively.

The committee, announced by IMA State Secretary Dr Pradeep Kumar Singh, retains Dr Vikash Kumar of RIMS Ranchi as convener. Dr Sushil Kumar and Dr Raghvendra highlighted that the new committee ensures representation of Senior Residents from all six medical colleges in Jharkhand, including RIMS Ranchi, MGMMCH Jamshedpur, SNMMCH Dhanbad, PJMCH Dumka, SBMCH Hazaribagh, and MMCH Palamu.

As per IMA norms, office bearers of other doctors’ bodies are ineligible to hold positions in JDN. Therefore, active members such as Dr Jaideep Kumar Choudhary and Dr Abhishek Hansdak, who were recently elected as senior office bearers in the national body of the Federation of All India Medical Associations (FAIMA), have not been included in the committee.
