Ranchi, April 20: BJP State President and former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi today said that people who are anti-national, anti-Sanatan, anti-Jharkhand, and anti-development will be gathering at the rally organised by INDI Alliance in Ranchi tomorrow.
Talking to reporters at the party’s media centre on Saturday, Marandi said that common people also have the same opinion.
BJP created Jharkhand
“If the BJP had not formed the government in the country and Atal Bihari Vajpayee had not been the Prime Minister, Jharkhand would not have become a separate state,” he maintained.

Marandi said that Congress ruled the country for 50 years, during which it suppressed the movement for a separate Jharkhand state, bought Jaipal Singh, who merged his party with Congress and used Shibu Soren to save the government.
INDI Alliance doesn’t care for tribals
“They all talk about tribals but never take their care. The BJP and NDA alliance has done the work of developing tribals, giving them respect and taking the state on the path of development,” he pointed out.
Marandi said that the people attending the rally spend all their time in looting after coming to power. “Hemant Soren remained in the government for 4 years. Today, he is in jail. The saying that as you do, so shall you pay, is being implemented on them,” he said.
The BJP state president said that the people of Jharkhand know everything. “Those who do not respect public sentiments and loot the public in every way are gathering in the rally,” he said.
He said that the INDI alliance leaders are anti-Sanatan. “Sanatan is compared to mosquitoes and dengue. “They talk about destruction. Big INDI Alliance leaders say that people go to temples to tease girls. They also used derogatory words about Lord Shri Ram,” he pointed out.
BJP state spokesperson Shiv Pujan Pathak and Avinesh Singh were also present on the occasion.
BJP lodges complaint with EC
Meanwhile, a BJP delegation reached the Election Commission today and objected to the blatant violation of the Model Code of Conduct in the Ulgulan rally to be held tomorrow.
State Coordinator of Law Cell Sudhir Srivastava and co-head of Legal Affairs Prakash Jha were present in the delegation.
“The INDI alliance parties’ openly displayed flag banners on vehicles and posters/hoardings regarding the rally violating the code of conduct,” the BJP said.
Sudhir Srivastava said that the Defacement of Public Property Act 1987 is still effective in Ranchi because the election notification has not been issued here yet. Under this Act, no person can put up the flag banner of any party in his house or public place unless he does so after the notification is issued, he added.
