Canberra, Sept 29: The Indian Junior Women’s Hockey Team secured a 1-0 win over the Australia U21 side in their third match of the ongoing Australia Tour at the National Hockey Centre in Canberra on Monday.
Kanika Siwach scored the decisive field goal in the 32nd minute of the game, breaking the deadlock early in the third quarter and handing India their first victory on the tour.
This win comes after India had suffered back-to-back defeats against the Australian U21 team, including a heavy 0-5 loss in their second match on Saturday.

The victory provides the Indian side with a much-needed boost and renewed confidence as they aim to recover momentum in the remaining fixtures of the tour.
India will next face Canberra Chill, a club competing in Australia’s premier Hockey One League, in two matches scheduled for September 30 and October 2, marking the conclusion of their Australian tour.
