New Delhi, Nov 5: India has officially submitted its bid to host the Olympics and Paralympics Games in 2036.
As reported by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) officially conveyed India’s interest in hosting the 2036 Olympics and Paralympics by submitting a ‘Letter of Intent’ to the International Olympic Committee’s (IOC) Future Host Commission on October 1.

India concluded its campaign at the recently held Paris Olympics with a total of six medals, comprising five bronze and one silver.
In September, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that India is making every possible effort to host the 2036 Olympic Games. While addressing the Indian diaspora in New York, he stated that the Summer Olympics would soon be held in India.
