India vs South Africa: Ranchi to host first ODI in three years

Ranchi, Oct 4: After a three-year wait, the JSCA International Cricket Stadium in Ranchi is set to host an international ODI match once again. The first match of the India vs South Africa ODI series will be played here on 30 November 2025.

This match is particularly special as it will be the first ODI in Ranchi since October 2022. On that occasion, India had defeated South Africa by seven wickets at the same venue.

JSCA Stadium ODI record

  • A total of 6 ODIs have been played at this stadium so far: India won 3, lost 2, and 1 match was abandoned.
  • In addition, the venue has hosted 3 Test matches and 4 T20 internationals.
  • In women’s cricket, the stadium has seen 3 ODIs and 3 T20 matches.

India-South Africa series schedule

The tour will feature matches across all three formats: Test, ODI, and T20.

Test Series:

  • First Test – Delhi (Nov 14-18)
  • Second Test – Guwahati (Nov 22-26)

ODI Series:

  • First ODI – 30 November, Ranchi
  • Second ODI – 3 December, Raipur
  • Third ODI – 6 December, Visakhapatnam

T20I Series (5 matches):

  • First T20I – 9 December
  • Second T20I – 11 December
  • Third T20I – 14 December
  • Fourth T20I – 17 December
  • Fifth T20I – 19 December
