Mumbai, Jan 18: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the squad for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy, set to begin on February 19 in Pakistan and the UAE.
Rohit Sharma will lead the Indian team, with Shubman Gill serving as vice-captain.
India’s right-arm seamer, Mohammed Shami, has been included in the squad for the first time in over a year after recovering from injury. Additionally, he has been named in the T20I squad for the five-match series against England.

On the other hand, right-arm fast bowler Mohammed Siraj has been dropped and Arshdeep Singh has been included in the squad. Additionally, Yashasvi Jaiswal has also been included in the Champions Trophy squad.
India is set to play a three-match ODI series against England, beginning on February 6. The squad for this series will be the same as the one for the ICC Champions Trophy, except for one change—Harshit Rana will play instead of Jasprit Bumrah against England.
Before the ODI series, India will compete in a five-match T20I series against England, starting January 22.
