New Delhi, Jan 29: Due to injury, KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja will not play in the second Test match against England, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced on Monday.
In Vizag, the second Test match is scheduled to begin on February 2.
“Jadeja sustained a hamstring injury during play on Day 4 of the first Test in Hyderabad. Rahul complained of right quadriceps pain. The BCCI Medical Team is monitoring the progress of the duo,” stated the BCCI in an official release.

In the meantime, Sarfaraz Khan, Sourabh Kumar, and Washington Sundar have been added to the Indian team by the Men’s Selection Committee. For Sarfaraz, this is his first call-up to the Test team.
India was defeated by 28 runs in Hyderabad on Sunday in the opening Test. England’s Ollie Pope was the man of the match and Tom Hartley took seven wickets in the second innings to secure the victory.
