Jamshedpur, Dec 28: ‘Fit & Fight Club’ of Jamshedpur won the overall championship for the women’s section in an inter-district taekwondo tournament held in Jamshedpur.

Held under the auspices of the Kolhan Taekwondo Association, the tournament was organized at the Mangal Singh Club in Kadma where over 100 women participants from the East Singhbhum and the adjoining Seraikela-Kharsawan districts were in the fray.

Following the four-day-long tournament, the Fit &Fight Club run by the international taekwondo maestro Archita Mohanty and vice-president of Kolhan Taekwondo Association Gopal Kumar, was declared the champion in the women’s section.

Among over a half-dozen participating outfits, the Fit & Fight Club, bagged 16 gold medals, eight silver medals and nine bronze medals while coming out with flying colours in the tournament.

Former minister, Ramchandra Shaish distributed prizes to the successful participants at a function organised on the occasion which was attended by, among others, AJSU leaders Kanhaiya Singh and Munna Singh, and Kayastha Mahasangh functionary Atal Behari Mohanty.
