Ranchi, Jan 2: The Anti-Corruption Bureau’s (ACB) Ranchi on Thursday team took action and arrested Munshi Ram, the Circle Officer (CO) of Ranchi Sadar, while he was accepting a bribe.
Following his arrest, Munshi Ram was taken to the ACB headquarters for questioning.
The ACB caught Munshi Ram taking a bribe in his office itself, after which it recovered Rs 7 lakhs in a raid at his house. Munshi Ram was demanding allegedly a bribe of Rs 40,000 from a person to measure his land. The victim had complained about the matter to the Anti-Corruption Bureau

A complaint was lodged with the ACB, which conducted verification of the case.
During the verification, it was confirmed that the demand for a bribe was legitimate. Subsequently, the ACB arrested the CO red-handed while accepting the bribe.
