Ranchi, Oct 17: Ghulam Ahmad Mir, the in-charge of Jharkhand Congress, along with state Congress president Keshav Mahato Kamlesh, arrived in Ranchi.
Speaking to the media at Birsa Munda Airport, Mir stated that the announcement for the assembly elections in Jharkhand has been made. Congress MP Rahul Gandhi will visit Ranchi on October 19, where he will participate in the Constitution Respect Conference at the Shaurya Sabhagar in Doranda.
Mir indicated that the Congress party would release its first list of candidates after October 19. He emphasized that the Congress has been part of an alliance in Jharkhand since 2019, ensuring that there are no disputes over seat distribution.

The formula for seat sharing has already been prepared, and it will be announced following the Central Election Committee (CEC) meeting.
Candidates’ names are expected to be disclosed by October 21. Additionally, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav will arrive in Ranchi on October 18 for a meeting with Chief Minister Hemant Soren, which will also include leaders from Congress and Left parties.
This meeting will discuss seat sharing within the INDIA alliance. Around 500 representatives have been invited to the conference, with preparations being handled by Congress and various social organizations.
