Arrangements to seize freebies
Arrangements for webcasting have been made.
The check posts are to intercept and seize unaccounted cash above 50, 000 rupees, illicit wine, narcotics and freebies.
Sources said some candidates are planning to give sarees to women ahead of the most sacred Chhath Puja.
Some are planning to give away ‘Aam ki Lakri’ ahead of the Chhath Puja which is also a freebie in the present context of the Vidhan Sabha election.
As the Model Code of Conduct prohibits any distribution of freebies, it will be a real challenge for the administration to foil this large-scale distribution of freebies like sarees.
