Ranchi, April 7: The Jharkhand BJP’s newly appointed state office bearers held their first meeting at the party’s state headquarters, chaired by State President and MP Aditya Sahu, with senior leaders outlining strategy, organisational priorities, and upcoming protests.
Leader of the Opposition Babulal Marandi and General Secretary (Organisation) Karmveer Singh were also present. The meeting began with the felicitation of newly appointed office bearers.

Aditya Sahu Pushes ‘Double Engine’ Vision
Addressing the meeting, Aditya Sahu said the new roles are not just positions but responsibilities to implement party policies at the grassroots level with teamwork.
He urged leaders to work towards establishing a ‘Double Engine’ government in Jharkhand, aligning with the Centre under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Sahu said that while the Centre has focused on development for all sections, people in Jharkhand are “fed up” with the current state government. He called on party workers to expose alleged government failures and intensify outreach.

Marandi Attacks Hemant Government
Leader of the Opposition Babulal Marandi alleged that the Hemant Soren-led government has failed to deliver on public welfare and termed it “the most corrupt government in the country.”
He said the BJP’s new team represents an energetic force and urged members to prepare to oust the state government.
Focus on Organisation and Booth-Level Strengthening
General Secretary (Organisation) Karmveer Singh emphasised strengthening the party at the booth level and directed office bearers to undertake regular organisational tours.
State General Secretary Amar Kumar Bauri, briefing the media, said discussions covered the current political situation, organisational expansion, and future agitation plans.
Statewide Protest on Power Issue on April 17
The BJP announced a statewide protest on April 17 against electricity issues, including power cuts, tariff hikes, and billing discrepancies. Protests will be held in all districts, particularly outside the offices of electricity department officials.
The party also plans to take up water-related issues as the next major agitation. Additionally, directions were given to celebrate Dr B.R. Ambedkar’s birth anniversary on April 14 at the organisational level and to continue Foundation Day programmes.
The meeting concluded with a detailed roadmap for upcoming political and organisational activities, signalling an aggressive strategy by the BJP in Jharkhand.
