Ranchi, Dec 31: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Gurvinder Singh Sethi has passed away. Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth has expressed his deep condolences on his demise. Seth said that Gurvinder Singh used to take part in social work. He also served as the Vice President of the Minority Commission.

“While holding various posts in Guru Nanak Hospital, Guru Nanak School and Gurdwara Guru Singh Sabha, he did many notable works. His service can never be forgotten. We all are with his family in this hour of grief. May God grant peace to the departed soul and give strength to his family to bear this grief,” Seth said.

Meanwhile, the state’s former Chief Minister Raghuvar Das’ elder sister also passed away untimely.

State BJP President and former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi prayed to God for the peace of the departed soul.

Marandi said that the death of Gurvinder Singh Sethi was an irreparable loss for the party. “The party lost a hardworking worker untimely. Late Sethi was always ready to serve the needy along with party responsibilities,” he added.

Those who expressed condolences included former Chief Minister Arjun Munda, acting State President Dr. Ravindra Kumar Rai, regional organization general secretary Nagendra Tripathi, state organization general secretary Karmaveer Singh, outgoing State President and MP Deepak Prakash, State Vice President Rakesh Prasad, Balmukund Sahay, Vikas Pritam, Aarti Kujur, State General Secretary and MP Aditya Sahu, Dr. Pradeep Verma, Manoj Kumar Singh along with state officials and leaders.
