Dhanbad, Dec 19: A 22-member delegation of the BJP under state president and former chief minister Babulal Marandi met Governor CP Radhakrishnan and submitted a memorandum seeking action against the Hemant Soren government.
The delegation informed the Governor that due to prevailing corruption and failure of law and order, a constitutional crisis has appeared in the state. So the situation needs immediate action to bail out the people of Jharkhand from such crisis, it added.
Besides Babulal Marandi, leader of the opposition Amar Bauri, MLA s CP Singh, Biranchi Narayan, JP Patel, Navin Jaiswal, Anant Kumar Ojha, Kochey Munda, Kedar Hazra, Bhanu Pratap Sahi, Neera Yadav, Raj Sinha, Narayan Das, Amit Mandal, Dhulu Mahto, Alok Chourasia, Manish Jaiswal, Samri Lal, Aparna Sengupta, Shashi Bhushan Mehta, Kishun Kumar and Pushpa Devi were members of the delegation.
“The Chief Minister has been openly violating the law and ignoring constitutional dignity. The ED has sent him summons six times for interrogation but he has been evading it continuously. He has been speaking against the agency daily in violation of constitutional dignity”, said the BJP delegation in the memorandum to the Governor.

The BJP delegation also alleged that nowadays murder, loot, rape, dacoity incidents take top place in newspapers. The moral of criminals in the state has increased so much so that even in jail murder is committed.
“The ED has written to the government with solid evidence for lodging an FIR against officials involved in corruption, middlemen but rather taking action against them, the chief minister is sitting on files”, the memorandum said.
The BJP leaders also told the governor that loot of mineral, sand, stone, land has been done openly and cash recovery has crossed all-time record. “So, the BJP being the opposition party in the state demands a constitutional solution to these issue from you”, the delegation said.
State-wide demonstration on December 21
The BJP announced to demonstrate against the Hemant Soren government on December 21 at all 24 district headquarters and send a memorandum to the Governor through deputy commissioner for dismissal of the state government.
