Chief Minister Hemant Soren announced this today in the programme “Aapki Yojana, Aapki Sarkar Aapke Dwar”, organized in Samaria block of Chatra.

 Government at doorstep

The chief minister said that people used to wander here and there with their problems earlier. “But, today, the government is knocking at their door. Teams of officers are reaching the camps being organized in Panchayats with full force, solving their problems, and connecting them with welfare schemes,” he added.

No shortage of resources

The chief minister said that when Jharkhand became a separate state, it used to have a surplus budget. “The government treasury was full. There was no shortage of resources. Still, the state continued to lag. Poverty, illiteracy and unemployment were not leaving the people here. However, no government has been concerned about this during the last two decades. The development of the state was marginalized,” he said.

“But, ever since our government was formed, despite all the challenges and adverse circumstances, it is working to speed up development and empower the people of the state through various schemes,” he added.

Financial assistance for higher education

The chief minister said that the government has a particular focus on providing better and quality education to the children of the state.

“Girls are being linked to Savitribai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana so that financial constraints do not become major in their studies. Children who become doctors, engineers and officers after studying are being given financial assistance for preparing for competitive exams and doing various courses,” he added.

“Now the government will give all the children from class 10th to 12th Guruji Credit Card. Under this, they will be given education loans up to Rs 15 lakh. For this, they will not have to give any guarantee, nor will they have to keep the land as a mortgage. The government will become the guarantor for this. Not only this, but today, 50 children from here are getting higher education abroad every year. The government is giving them a 100% scholarship for this,” he said.
