Ranchi, June 12: Chief Minister Champai Soren today directed the deputy commissioners (DCs) to stop the illegal purchase and sale of land.
“This should be stopped at all costs. Whoever is guilty of this, action should be taken against them,” he said while presiding over a meeting with DCs along with top bureaucrats of the State.
He told them to investigate why a large number of cases of mutation remain pending in the circle office for a long time without any objection. “Mutation cases are neither executed nor rejected. This should be investigated,” he clarified.
Soren directed the officers to ensure that the mutation was done within the stipulated time limit. “Mutation cases should not remain pending without any reason,” he added.
He singled out districts of Ranchi, Hazaribag, Giridih and Palamu where the process of execution of mutation cases is very poor. He asked the DCs to identify the poorly performing circles of these districts and send a proposal to take action against the circle officers there.
He also asked all DCs to identify the areas under their district where mutation cases have been pending for more than 90 days without any reason. He asked them to issue show cause notices to them and send proposals for action.
CM on Schools of Excellence
The chief minister said that education is the basis of social progress. “Providing better education to children of all sections of the state is the priority of the state government. It is the responsibility of our government to awaken the spirit of education among children. In the coming time, CM Schools of Excellence will be established in all blocks,” he said.
He asked the education department to appoint regular teachers in all CM Schools of Excellence and ensure quality education in all such schools.
He pointed out that the CM School of Excellence is an important project of the state government. “So, officials should ensure that the attendance of students is recorded 100 per cent. They should also work on improving the performance of students in 10th and 12th class examinations,” he said.
He asked Deputy Commissioners of the districts to continuously monitor all the facilities being provided in CM Schools of Excellence. He asked them to upgrade the currently running 80 CM Schools of Excellence to better private schools.
Mukhyamantri Gambhir Bimari Yojana
Reviewing yet another important scheme, Mukhyamantri Gambhir Bimari Yojana, he said a maximum number of people should get the benefit of this scheme. “People should be aware of this scheme along with other health-related schemes of the state government. For this, all these schemes should be publicized in rural areas,” he added.
He was pained to point out that many complaints were constantly coming to light regarding the 108-ambulance service. “The needy are not able to get their benefits on time. So, complaints related to its operation are to be investigated,” he maintained.
Soren said that Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Yojana is another important health scheme sponsored by the state government. “Under this scheme, there is a provision for the treatment of the poor. This scheme should be widely publicised so that people come forward to avail the benefits of this scheme,” he said.
