Ranchi, January 21: Chief Minister Hemant Soren will hand over offer letters in the private sector to 2500 youth on Monday.

Textile firms

Skilled youth will be handed over offer letters for Arvind Textile, Kishore Export, Shree Ganpati Creation, Urban Design Private Limited, Matrix Clothing, Valencia Apparels and Orient Craft Textile companies at Tana Bhagat Stadium located in Khelgaon.

Earlier, on the instructions of the chief minister, by organizing a divisional level employment fair, about 56 thousand youth have been provided offer letters in the private sector.

Notably, the Jharkhand government has enacted a law to ensure 75 percent employment in the private sector for the local youth of the state.

Kulhi Industrial Area

It is the result of the efforts of Hemant Soren that in December 2021, several textile plants were inaugurated in Kulhi Industrial Area located in Ormanjhi, Ranchi.

“Today, due to those efforts, in just three years, more than 10 thousand youth have got employment in Ranchi. The clothing factories located here are not only providing employment to the people, but are also providing them better facilities. 90 percent of the people working here are women,” said a press release issued by the State government.

All these youth are earning their living by working in various state-of-the-art textile units located in Kulhi.

“There is employment in every household. The women here are working shoulder to shoulder with the men,” the release added.

Jobs for Jharkhand daughters

The daughters of Jharkhand who went to work in different states in these industries have also been provided employment. Employed daughters were brought back during the Corona transition period or were being held hostage while working in different states. All such daughters have been brought back to Jharkhand on the instructions of the Chief Minister and employed. Some workers who were safely rescued from the accident in the newly constructed tunnel of Uttarakhand have also been provided employment in the plants located in Kulhi.

Export of clothes

In the textile industry operating in Kulhi Industrial Area, clothes of world-famous brands are being made with the help of skilled youth and world class machines. The clothes made here are being exported from Ranchi to the entire country and many countries including UK, America, Germany. Branded jeans, pants, shirts, children’s clothes, ladies wear, woollen wear, under garments etc. from Ranchi are in demand in the country and abroad.

The release further said the textile industry in Jharkhand will grow a lot due to the excellent new textile policy here and the support from the state government, due to which the Kulhi factories will have the capacity to provide employment to one lakh people in the coming few years.
