Speaking at a function held to inaugurate the HURL Sindri fertiliser plant, Soren said the State has to be rebuilt according to the changing times. “I have full hope from the Prime Minister that he will fully support the State in taking Jharkhand forward,” he said.

Soren said that today is a historic day for Jharkhand. “The resumption of the Sindri fertiliser factory will bring a big change in this area. A new door of development will open. The yield will increase when farmers do farming with modern technology and methods. When food grain production increases, farmers will directly benefit from it. Their income will increase, and they will become empowered,” he empowered.

“Jharkhand is rich in mineral wealth, and a large population here also depends on farms and barns,” he said.

The chief minister said that the geographical environment of Jharkhand is different in many ways from that of other regions of the country. “On the one hand, many minerals like iron, coal, bauxite and uranium are abundant here, while a large population of villagers also depends on farms and barns. In such a situation, a balance between the two is necessary for the proper development of the State,” he said.

He said we can strengthen this State by putting the tribals, Moolwasis, farmers and labourers at the centre. “The state government has been working in this direction with total commitment,” he said.

Making farmers strong and self-reliant

The chief minister said the government continuously makes the farmers self-reliant and empowered. “We aim to ensure every field has water throughout the year so farmers can do farming better. For this, special work is being done on irrigation projects. Farmers are being motivated and trained to do agricultural work with modern technology. Many schemes are running for the welfare of farmers. In such a situation, when the yield in the fields will increase, we will become more self-sufficient in food grains,” he said.

New employment opportunities

The chief minister said that while farmers will benefit from the revival of the Sindri fertiliser factory, new employment opportunities will also be created. “The youth here will get direct and indirect employment on a large scale. This will bring prosperity to the area and strengthen the State’s economy,” he said.
