Ranchi, Nov 5: Chief Minister Hemant Soren and MLA Kalpana Soren visited Guru Nanak School in PP Compound, Ranchi, to take part in the 556th Prakash Utsav marking Guru Nanak Jayanti.

Soren bowed before the Guru Granth Sahib and prayed for the happiness, prosperity, and well-being of the people of Jharkhand. He extended greetings and best wishes to the Sikh community and all citizens on Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Prakash Parv and Kartik Purnima.

Prakash Utsav Promotes Unity and Joy
“Participating in the Prakash Utsav fills me with joy. This celebration reminds us of the strength of unity,” Soren said. He added that Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s teachings continue to guide humanity towards compassion, equality, and social harmony.

Following the Path of Guru Nanak Dev Ji
Soren noted that Guru Nanak Dev Ji remains a source of inspiration for all. “A strong and inclusive society can only be built by following his ideals,” he said. “Our greatest strength lies in moving forward together, hand in hand.”
Community Spirit on Display
Devotees from across Jharkhand gathered in Ranchi to celebrate the occasion, demonstrating the spirit of devotion and togetherness. Soren thanked the organisers and extended best wishes for peace and prosperity to the Sikh community.
Among those present were State Minority Commission Vice Chairman Jyoti Singh Matharu, Guru Gobind Singh Public School President Ranjit Singh Happy, and Gurdwara Main Road Secretary Gagandeep Singh Sethi.
