Ranchi, Aug 5: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Wednesday met Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar at Lok Bhawan and apprised him of the alleged irregularities in the recruitment processes conducted by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC), as well as the ongoing student agitation in Ranchi over the issue.
Governor Calls for Transparency and Fairness
Emphasising the need to protect students’ interests, Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar described the alleged recruitment irregularities as a serious concern. He underscored the importance of conducting recruitment examinations with complete transparency and fairness to maintain the confidence of the state’s youth.
The Governor said the recruitment commissions must function in a manner that leaves no doubt about their transparency, credibility and integrity.
Hemant Soren Assures Justice for Students
Chief Minister Hemant Soren assured the Governor that the state government is committed to safeguarding the interests of students and ensuring justice in the matter.
He stated that the government would not allow any injustice to be done to the youth and would take all necessary steps to ensure a fair and transparent resolution of the issue.
Chief Secretary Avinash Kumar was also present during the meeting at Lok Bhawan.
