Ranchi, February 14: Chief Minister Champai Soren has said the government is committed to strengthening the state’s infrastructure.
“The policies and plans made by former Chief Minister Hemant Soren for development and public welfare during his four-year tenure will be implemented more effectively and better,” he said.
Champai Soren addressed the media today in his native village, Jillingagoda, in the Gamharia block of Seraikela-Kharsawan.
He stressed that if Jharkhand has to be taken forward, the socio-economic-educational and health systems here must be strengthened.
Infrastructure in industrial areas
The chief minister said that all the basic infrastructure, including electricity, water, and roads, will be strengthened in all the industrial areas of the state. “Here, many concessions and facilities will be given to industrial groups by the government. But all the companies and institutions will have to ensure that 75 per cent of the jobs are given to the locals,” he said.
“The law made by the government in this regard will have to be followed at all costs,” he asserted.
Traffic jam in Ranchi
The chief minister said that the construction of the flyover is going on at a fast pace to relieve the traffic jams in the capital, Ranchi.
Mineral resources
Soren said that Jharkhand is a prosperous state in mineral resources, but it is a matter of regret that the state is not benefiting from it.
“Even today, the condition of rural areas here is not good. Villagers have been facing various types of problems and troubles for years. This is why when Hemant Soren took over as the Chief Minister in 2019, he took concrete steps to strengthen the rural economy amidst all the adverse circumstances,” he said.
“It is our endeavour that, like cities, work is being done to provide facilities in villages also. Connectivity between the city and villages is being increased through the Mukhyamantri Gram Gaadi Yojana,” Soren said.
