Bhattacharya also noted that the instalments for December and January will be disbursed together. “We had pledged to increase the amount provided under the Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Maiyaan Samman Yojana from Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,500 starting in December 2024, and we are keeping that promise. While some beneficiaries received their December instalment, Rs 5,000 will now be credited to the accounts of those who did not receive it,” he added.
Over 3 Lakh Women Expected to Attend the Programme
The Chief Minister will distribute the honorarium at a grand ceremony in Namkum. Initially planned for December 28, 2024, the event was postponed due to the national mourning period following the death of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh. The programme is now scheduled for January 6, with preparations reportedly complete.
On Saturday, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Manjunath Bhajantri visited the venue to review the arrangements. Following this, a meeting was held with police and administrative officials at the Collectorate Auditorium.

He highlighted the need to provide proper arrangements for the hundreds of beneficiaries travelling from other districts. Specific instructions were given to assign personnel at designated areas and ensure the availability of food and drinking water for the participants.
Focus on Food, Water, Security, and Cleanliness
The DC also inspected arrangements for the pandal, stage construction, food, drinking water, security, and parking facilities for both guests and beneficiaries. The municipal officer was directed to arrange sufficient mobile toilets and ensure cleanliness throughout the event.
