Jharkhand Elections: 216 voters to cast vote at home in Dhanbad

Dhanbad, May 15: Altogether 216 voters in Dhanbad will cast their vote at home booth through postal ballot in the Dhanbad Lok Sabha constituency.

A senior official of the Postal Ballot Cell said that preparation for ‘home voting’ has been completed. A list of 216 voters has been made where the polling party will go to their house for voting.

The home voting process will start on May 17 and completed on May 18.

Voting on the Dhanbad Lok Sabha seat is scheduled in the 6th phase on May 26.

“For home booth voting the district administration has set up 15 polling parties. Each polling party will be comprising two polling officers and a micro-observer. Sector magistrate will conduct home booth polling under his supervision in their respective area,” said the official.

85-plus and PwD voters

A list of 216 voters has been prepared at block level. 85-plus years old and PwD voters have been included in it.

The official said the polling party will visit listed voters at their house and ensure their voting as per guidelines of the Election Commission of India (ECI).
