22.43 lakh plus voters

There are 22.43 lakh plus voters, as against the total number of 2427 polling stations for the LS seat of Palamu.

46,548 voters are persons with disability.

When asked if the seized cash issue had been sorted out, the returning officer, Shashi Ranjan, said, “The issue is with the income tax department.”

Reminded that the cash tangle has to be resolved within 15 days from the date of seizure, to which the returning officer said this timeline is for the seizure of cash worth up to Rs 10 lakh. Here the seized amount in one or two episodes is higher.

The SP said, “Each of the polling stations will have adequate security cover.”

For details in regard to the cases arising out of the violation of the model code of conduct, she said it’s 4 here, but for more elaboration, she may be contacted for this later on.
