Ranchi, March 10: People in the Jharkhand capital have started raising concerns about road construction in their locality.

It was observed when over 200 people residing between Krishna Nagar Colony and Forest Research Centre raised the slogan “No Road, No Vote” near Pundag police station in the heart of the state capital.

Lalgutwa Panchayat organized this movement. Prakash Lal Shahdeo, a social worker in the Katahal Mode area, was present during the agitation to boost the morale of the local people and assure them of proper support.

During the agitation, people shared their problems due to the lack of proper roads.

DAV Kapildev Public School teacher S.C.Mahto, present during the agitation, said the agitation was planned after all efforts to draw the attention of concerned authorities failed.

A resident of Pundag said poor road conditions are a chronic problem in the capital. “There is a big ditch in the road connecting Argora with Pundag, but no one is to pay attention to this. Poor road conditions often cause accidents,” he said.
