BRAJESH VERMA
Dumka, May 10: Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Sita Soren and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha candidate Nalin Soren filed their nominations on Friday.
The way the top leaders of Jharkhand were present during the nomination of both the candidates from the Dumka Lok Sabha seat, it is not difficult to guess that the election noise of Dumka will spread across the country in the coming days. The last phase of voting here is on June 1.
Dumka is a reserved Lok Sabha seat.
Ex-CM Babulal Marandi accompanies Sita
Jharkhand’s first Chief Minister and BJP state president Babulal Marandi and former minister and Dumka MLA Dr Louis Marandi along with their supporters boosted the morale of Sita Soren, who had resigned from Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and joined BJP just before the elections.
CM Champai, Kalpana, and Basant at Nalin’s nomination
On the other hand, Chief Minister Champai Soren himself, former Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s wife Kalpana Soren Dumka MLA and Minister Basant Soren were present to encourage their candidate Nalin Soren.

Sita, Nalin fighting LS polls for the first time
Nalin Soren and Sita Soren have very strong political records, but both are contesting the Lok Sabha elections for the first time. Nalin Soren has been the MLA from the Shikaripada assembly constituency adjacent to Dumka for the last 35 years, while Sita Soren has been the MLA from the Jama assembly constituency near Dumka for the last 15 years.
Both the candidates are seasoned players of politics and the biggest thing is that till just before this Lok Sabha elections, both of them were members of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha family. But Sita Soren, who is the daughter-in-law of JMM supremo Shibu Soren, has now trusted the BJP.

The politics going on in Dumka Lok Sabha seems a bit strange. Especially for the BJP, which gave a ticket to its sitting MP Sunil Soren and made him withdraw after Sita had joined the BJP in the middle of the elections. Sunil Soren had won this seat last time by defeating Shibu Soren.
According to sources, his self-made supporters seem hurt by this and the news is that some BJP workers are not taking interest in this election.
The reason for this could be an infiltration of an outsider, although this decision was taken by the national leaders of the BJP, then it is the responsibility of the party to keep its breaking pot together. Many more top BJP leaders will come to Dumka. Since the elections are in the final stages, the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is considered certain. When there is a gathering, conditions may change.

Meanwhile, BJP’s election campaign is being handled by Babulal Marandi, with whom the convoy of former minister Luis Marandi is moving. It seems that the party has given a huge responsibility on the shoulders of BJP leader Babulal Marandi in this election.
On the contrary, the problem with Jharkhand Mukti Morcha is that its biggest leader, former Chief Minister Hemant Soren, is in jail in a land scam case and huge amounts of black money are being seized from the houses of big Congress leaders. The latest example of this is Congress leader and minister Alamgir Alam. The ED has recovered Rs 35.23 crore from the premises of his PS Sanjiv Lal and servant Jehangir Alam.
The way looted money is being seized from the houses of ministers, officials and supporters of the Jharkhand government; puts the governance system of this nascent state to shame. The people of Congress and Morcha have no other answer except to accuse the BJP government at the Centre and the ED of bias. But people are seeing the mountain of cash being seized by the ED.
In such a situation, what will Congress leaders say in support of Nalin Soren? To carry forward Nalin’s election, the hope rests only on Chief Minister Champai Soren, Kalpana Soren and Basant Soren. However, Nalin has a stronghold in the Shikaripada assembly which falls within the Dumka Lok Sabha constituency. But holding in just one area is of no significant benefit unless there is support from other areas. But when Mukti Morcha’s workers gather in Dumka, they can turn the tide, because their hold on the tribal and Muslim society is still strong.
