Deoghar, Sept 16: Jharkhand Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar arrived in Deoghar on Tuesday and offered prayers at the Baba Baidyanath temple, performing the traditional rituals.

The Governor is visiting Deoghar to attend the 6th annual function of AIIMS Deoghar as the chief guest, scheduled for later in the afternoon.

On his arrival at Deoghar airport, he was received by senior officials, including DIG Ambar Lakra, Deputy Commissioner Naman Priyesh Lakra, Superintendent of Police Ajit Peter Dungdung, and SDM Ravi Kumar.

Governor Gangwar then proceeded directly to the Baba Baidyanath temple, where Tirth Purohit, the head priest, guided him in performing the Sakalp ritual and receiving the blessings of the 12th Jyotirlinga.
During the visit, Deputy Commissioner Naman Priyesh Lakra presented the Governor with a memento of Deoghar and Prasad from Baba Baidyanath.
