Ranchi, Jan 15: Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar today interacted with participants from Jharkhand who excelled in the recently concluded National Youth Festival held in New Delhi from January 10 to 12. During a ceremony at Raj Bhavan, the Governor extended heartfelt congratulations to the participants for their remarkable performance, which brought pride to the state on a national platform.
While addressing the participants, the Governor emphasized the importance of youth involvement in such events. He remarked that effectively presenting ideas and understanding the diverse cultures and perspectives of other states play a vital role in shaping the personality and development of young individuals. Encouraging the youth to continue their outstanding work, he expressed hope that they would bring glory not only to Jharkhand but also to the nation.
Tourism Minister Felicitates Participants
Simultaneously, the Minister of Tourism, Art, Culture, Sports, and Youth Affairs, Sudivya Kumar Sonu, also felicitated the participants who represented Jharkhand at the National Youth Festival 2025.

The Minister praised the youth for their exceptional achievements and highlighted that Jharkhand’s young talents are second to none. He assured them that the state government would provide all necessary guidance and support to help them achieve their goals. “There is no lack of talent in Jharkhand’s youth. They have the potential to excel in every field, and with the right guidance, they can reach great heights,” he said.
Today’s Youth Should Be Logical and Inquisitive
Sudivya Kumar Sonu further stressed the importance of logical thinking and reasoning among the younger generation. He encouraged them to cultivate the habit of asking questions and exploring knowledge through books, which, he said, sharpened their ability to analyze and test ideas.
“The energy and enthusiasm of youth are the foundation for the progress of the state and the nation,” he said. He added, “A strong city, village, or state leads to a strong country. Without state development, we cannot imagine national development.”
State-Level Youth Festival Planned in Jharkhand
The Minister also announced that the Jharkhand government would organize a State-Level Youth Festival where participants from across the state could showcase their ideas and talents. He noted that such events would foster personal and professional growth among the youth, ultimately contributing to the country’s development.
Congratulating the participants who represented Jharkhand at the National Youth Festival, he commended their efforts, stating, “You have not only brought glory to our state but have also inspired future generations. Your hard work and dedication prove that Jharkhand’s youth are no less talented than anyone else.”
Outstanding Achievements Recognized
At the National Youth Festival, Swati Raj from Dumka secured second place in the speech competition. Additionally, Shubhangi Kshitija Saurabh from Gumla and Rishit from Jamshedpur were selected to present their “Vikas Bhi, Virasat Bhi” PowerPoint presentation to the Honorable Prime Minister.
On this occasion, Minister Sudivya Kumar Sonu presented robes and mementoes to the participants and team leaders who achieved first, second, and third positions in various events.
Dignitaries Present at the Event
The felicitation ceremony was attended by notable figures, including Rajesh Kumar, Under Secretary, Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs; Lalita Kumari, Director of Jharkhand Nehru Yuva Kendra; Deputy Nodal Officer Dr. Omprakash Pandey; Team Leader Purushottam; and the distinguished participants Swati Raj, Rishit, and Shubhangi Kshitija Saurabh, along with others who represented Jharkhand in the competition.
The event concluded with a celebration of the participants’ achievements, underscoring the potential of Jharkhand’s youth to make a mark both nationally and globally.
