Daltonganj, July 14: The Jharkhand government has ‘postponed’ the fourth-grade employment in the districts, including Palamu.
A letter to this effect bearing number 4140, dated 14 July 2025, issued by Joint Secretary Asif Hasan of Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms and Raj Bhasha, addressed to all the DCs of the state, announced the state government’s decision to postpone the fourth-grade employment in the districts, called Mufassil in the letter.
The Joint Secretary’s letter alludes to a resolution taken in the cabinet meeting of July 11 in regard to the fourth-grade employment.

The postponement is for the purpose of framing rules and regulations for the employment of the fourth-grade jobs.
Nodal Officer of the fourth-grade employment here in Palamu, M Jawed Hussain, who is the DDC, has confirmed the postponement order of the government in reference to the fourth-grade employment.
Jawed Hussain declined to make any elaboration, saying “It’s postponed as per the order of the government.”
More than 35,000 applications were filed for the 585 posts of the fourth-grade employment here, out of which a little over 300 posts were reserved.

The postponement has come as a shock to many, while those who had missed filing applications for it are pretty happy over the postponement.
The last date to file applications was July 5, and post offices here in Palamu had witnessed a huge queue for the applicants booking their applications either by registered post or by speed post.
