Jharkhand Govt signs MoU with PNB for salary accounts, Kuber Dashboard launched

 

Ranchi, February 24: Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Tuesday attended the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Government of Jharkhand and Punjab National Bank (PNB) for a salary account package for State Government employees. The event was held at the Jharkhand Secretariat auditorium.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister also launched the Jharkhand Kuber Dashboard, developed by the Finance Department, Government of Jharkhand.

New Partnership for Employee Salary Accounts

Addressing the gathering, Hemant Soren said the MoU between Punjab National Bank and the State Government marks a new phase of cooperation. He stated that banks play a crucial role in managing financial transactions for both the general public and government employees.

He said banks are contributing significantly to sectors such as business, agriculture, and rural development, and also have important social responsibilities.

The Chief Minister noted that the Jharkhand Government had earlier signed similar MoUs with other banks to provide salary account facilities to State Government employees, and work is progressing under those agreements. He expressed confidence that Punjab National Bank will effectively fulfill its responsibilities under the new MoU.

He added that better coordination between the State Government and PNB will benefit employees as well as the general public.

Among those present at the ceremony were Radhakrishna Kishore, Irfan Ansari, Sanjay Prasad Yadav, Deepika Pandey Singh, Shilpi Neha Tirkey, Chief Secretary Avinash Kumar, PNB General Manager Ashish Kumar Chaturvedi, Divisional Head (Ranchi) Awadhesh Jha, Sub-Divisional Head Rakesh Kumar Srivastava, along with other State Government and PNB officials.
