Ranchi, Nov. 8: The Jharkhand High Court has constituted a three-member committee comprising lawyers to inspect the construction work taking place near the origin of the Harmu River.

This committee will inspect the source of Harmu River on November 24, after which it will submit its report to the court by November 30.

A division bench comprising Justice S Chandrashekhar and Justice Anubha Rawat Chaudhary had taken cognizance of a news report related to the money transactions in passing the map by the Municipal Corporation and converted it into a PIL.

During the hearing, advocate Lal Gyan Ranjan Nath Shahdeo told the court that a high-rise building was being constructed near the origin of the Harmu River. The Municipal Corporation has passed the map ignoring all the rules, due to which the existence of Harmu River is in danger, he added.
