Ranchi, Jan 12: The Jharkhand High Court has granted bail to the accused in the land scam, the controversial businessman Bishnu Agarwal of Ranchi.

The court has imposed the condition for Agarwal’s bail that he must furnish two personal sureties (bail bonds) of one lakh each in the trial court. Additionally, he is required to submit his passport to the trial court.

The bail application of Bishnu Agarwal was heard in the High Court on January 5. After hearing arguments from both Bishnu Agarwal and the Enforcement Directorate (ED), the court reserved its decision.

During the court proceedings, arguments were presented by Bishnu Agarwal’s lawyers Indrajit Sinha, Sumit Gadodia, Arpan Mishra and Rishabh Kumar.

Bishnu Agarwal is the main accused in the land scam case, and he was arrested by the ED on July 31. In the same case, the well-known power broker Prem Prakash is also implicated.
