Ranchi, Feb 23: The Jharkhand High Court today lifted the stay on the ongoing CBI investigation into the case of illegal mining in Nimbu Pahad in Sahibganj district.
The CBI was investigating the illegal mining case in Nimbu Pahad. In this regard, the CBI has registered case number 06/23.
The state government had approached the High Court against the CBI investigation. Hearing this, the High Court had stayed the order for CBI investigation on January 19.

Senior advocate Kapil Sibal, Advocate General Rajeev Ranjan and P Chitresh argued on behalf of the state government whereas ASGI (Additional Solicitor General) Anil Kumar argued on behalf of CBI.
The hearing of this case took place in the bench of High Court judge Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad.
