THE JHARKHAND STORY DESK

Ranchi, April 8: The division bench of the Jharkhand High Court has refused to stay the order of the single bench, which had directed the state government to announce municipal elections within three weeks.

Justice Ananda Sen’s court had passed this order on January 4 in this matter. The state government had approached the division bench against this order.

The present councillors, including councillor Roshni Khalkho, had knocked on the doors of the High Court demanding early elections for municipal bodies.
