Dhanbad, May 13:  Patients will get concession and priority in treatment at private clinics/doctors on the poll day for voting in the Lok Sabha elections in Jharkhand.

IMA Jharkhand plan

To encourage voters in elections, the Indian Medical Association (IMA) Jharkhand chapter has urged its members ( doctors) that the patients who come on the poll day after casting a vote give priority to attending and concession in treatment.

IMA letter to all doctors

Jharkhand IMA president Dr AK Singh and secretary Dr Pradip Kumar Singh today in this regard shot off a letter to all members (doctors) across the state urging them to cast their vote thoughtfully and select a better leader.

Both the officials in a joint letter have also urged doctors to exercise their franchise along with family members and colleagues in Lok Sabha elections.

“It is a noble time of discharging responsibility. So, vote for himself and encourage other people also to participate in large numbers in it.  Go beyond party and caste line and vote such a candidate who keeps positive attitude towards medicos interest, thinks for social welfare and has a mission of improved health services,” said the IMA.

In 24 years of Jharkhand, this is the first time the IMA state body has appealed to its members to participate with family members in elections and encouraging voters with concession offers in any election.
