Jamshedpur, Feb 22: The decomposed body of a 45-year-old man was found lying near a railway cabin under the suburban Govindpur Thana area about 15 km away from the heart of the city on Thursday.
Police suspect it to be a case of murder as the burnt mobile was spread across the body, something which was done to prevent it from being identified.
Though the body is yet to be identified, the police recovered it and have shifted it to the MGM Medical College Hospital (MGMMCH) for postmortem.

Police trying to identify the body
OC, Govindpur Thana, Prakash Kumar said there was no mark of injury on the body as such but still they consider it to be a case of murder because a quote of burnt mobile was found on it, suggesting that the assailant might have tried to conceal the victim’s identity by doing so.
“The deceased had put on a bermuda pant and nothing else. We got nothing from which the body might have been identified. It seems that the assailant might have strangulated the man somewhere else and dumped the body in such an isolated place, ” said the OC while talking to The Jharkhand Story.
The police officer said the body would be kept in the mortuary for the next 72 hours for getting identified. He said they would be able to detect the case only after the body is identified.
