Jharkhand News: 26 Dhanbad Rail Division employees felicitated with Safety Awards

Dhanbad, April 8: A total of 26 employees from the Dhanbad Rail Division were felicitated with the Railway Safety Award for their exemplary contributions during the month of March.

At a ceremony held on Monday evening at the Dhanbad Rail Division headquarters, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Kamal Kishore Sinha presented the awards to the selected employees. He commended their outstanding efforts, which played a crucial role in averting potential accidents across the division.

Commendable Work in Train Movement and Safety

The railway official highlighted that the awarded employees had shown remarkable performance in resolving various operational challenges, detecting and repairing rail fractures in different sections, and addressing issues such as hot axle detection — all of which are vital to ensuring the smooth and safe movement of trains.

A “hot axle,” often caused by faulty bearings or overloading, can lead to derailments or other serious accidents if not identified and addressed promptly. The timely intervention by these employees helped prevent such incidents and safeguarded train operations.

The employees felicitated with the Safety Award include Deepak Kumar (Pointman), Sanjay Kumar (Station Master), Girijesh Kumar (Pointman), Mithun Kumar Paswan (Station Master), Amardeep Kumar (Pointman), Dharmendra Kumar (Technician), Pawan Yadav (Technician), Vidyarthi Rai (Senior Technician), Md Rustam Ansari (Senior Technician), Mantu Kumar (Trackman), Akhilesh Kumar (Trackman), Saurav Kumar (Junior Engineer), Dimple Kumar (Assistant), Manish Kumar Chore (Technician), Mukesh Kumar Pandey (Loco Pilot), Sonu Prakash Yadav (Assistant Loco Pilot), Vikrant Kumar (Assistant Loco Pilot), Santosh Kumar (Assistant), Amit Kumar (Senior Technician), Jishu Kumar (Assistant), Patel Kumar (Station Incharge Man), Dilip Kumar Marandi (Station Incharge Man), Ambuj Kumar Anjan (Senior Section Engineer), Sandeep Kumar Yadav (Constable), Kinar Kumar Jha (Chief Supervisor), and Gaurav Bid (Senior Chief Commercial Clerk).

The award ceremony was attended by all senior officials of the Dhanbad Rail Division, who highly appreciated the work and dedication of the selected employees in maintaining railway safety standards.
